Tasting: Barefoot Refresh

Wine: Barefoot Refresh- Crisp White
Variety: Blend: Chenin Blanc and Riesling
Region: California, USA
Year: 2014
Price: $6

Critic Review: California- Chenin Blanc and Riesling are a perfect pair. Together, they make for a vibrant and light-bodied wine. The notes of melon and pear are complemented by a fresh lemon-lime finish. Enjoy over ice.

My Review: I figured I would like this wine simply because it is a sparkling wine. My initial impression of the wine was fruity, although I think it smelled fruitier than it tasted. It is a very light wine, and the bubbles make it quite refreshing. I was having a cookie when I tasted this wine, so I think some of the sweetness of the fruit was lost in my tasting. I think this wine would go well with some light food, like fruit and crackers.

Overall, I really enjoyed it!
