Tasting: Terre di Poggio Laude

Wine: Terre di Poggio Laude
Variety: Pecorino
Region: Terre di Chieti, Italy
Year: 2013
Price: $8.95

Critic Review: Bright and savory, this floral scented Pecorino offers juicy tropical fruit and lemon drop sensations accented by notes of mint and thyme. The ripe fruit is balanced by brisk acidity that leaves the palate feeling cleansed and refreshed.

My Review: This wine had a very nice bouquet. I smelled lots of fruit like mango, and I also got some acidity out of it. The taste was not quite what I expected. It was much sharper and acidic than I expected, yet it was still kind of fruity. Overall, I felt very refreshed from this wine, and it wasn't too bad.

While I did not love this wine, I still liked it. I think it is a cleansing wine, and I imagine it would pair well with something a little sweeter.
